
Various spectrums of talent and elements of training are required to produce wonder working ‘actors with pencils’ called animators! If a child has the basic skill to draw, zeal to explore new things and is able to implement the techniques that he learns, he can become a YOUNG ANIMATOR.
Animaster is here to create awareness among young students in the fast growing field of animation. This is an initiative to tap creativity in students at a very young age and bring out their best talent. We at Animaster intend to expose the students to the enumerable opportunities available in the Animation Industry so that their hobbies can eventually develop into a lucrative career.
The ‘Young Animator Program’ has been designed especially for students, to give them an opportunity to learn animation on campus, parallel with their regular curriculum. The training provided to these enthusiastic students, equips them with the necessary knowledge and skill sets that offer them exciting career opportunities instantly.
COURSES OFFERED :
Animaster offers three courses under the ‘Young Animator’s Program’, which have been developed to suit the skill sets of various age groups.
FUNDAMENTAL COURSE [Class V to VII]
This course mainly focuses on building on the child’s basic ability to draw and think creatively. The students are trained right from the basics of drawing shapes to creating characters to adding expressions, backgrounds and finally animation. This instills in them an understanding of the concept of animation with the help of a simple and practical approach.
Towards the final stage, the students are also exposed to exciting software called toonboom, which helps to convert the images created into a computer format, & subsequently add color and movement to it .
Duration : 6 months
Timing : 2 hours a week
BASIC COURSE [Class VIII to X]
The Basic course follows the similar flow as the fundamental course in terms of starting from the basics but also covers 2D animation in more depth. This course emphasizes the importance of consistency, and proportions through specially designed assignments, thus enabling them to create more challenging characters.
Here, the students are introduced to an advanced curriculum of toonboom, which exposes them to the numerous options available in this software.
Duration : 6 months

ADVANCED COURSE [Class XI to XII]
This course covers basic 2D animation in detail with extra emphasis on character designing, principals of animation and the different techniques used, giving them a thorough and complete understanding of the subject. The curriculum designed is more relevant towards 3D animation. A whole new world of opportunities are introduced with the introduction the 3D interface –Maya, where they learn to visualize and develop simple objects and characters, creating lights, textures and taking into animation.
